La Canada HS

Contact: Andy Etters
Email:

Wednesdays: 8:00PM

Fields: Grass - good condition
Description: UPDATE: We are back in full swing for Spring. Games are happening every week and so far we've had great numbers (email me if you want to be added to the email list).

Beginners to experienced players are welcome, but it is a mid-level, casual game...not intense! If you cannot relax and have fun with first-timers, do not come please!

Many players play in the LAOUT leagues...mostly on the Winter Slow Children at Play team but it is open to anyone who won't be a jerk all night!

Game is played on grass baseball fields at La Canada High School and occassionally across the street at Hahamonga/Oak Grove park baseball field if LCHS is unavailable.

The fields are nice and flat, good condition generally but the grass take a beating in the fall with soccer and football practices.

Thursdays: 12:15 -1:30

Fields: Grass
Description: There are Ultimate pick-up games are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Raytheon complex in El Segundo from 12:15 to 1:30.

Players of all skill levels participate, both men and women. The games are strictly for fun and exercise.

You're welcome to join, but there is one issue of which you need to be aware. Guards are posted at the facility entrance. To gain entrance, you need to show the guard your valid US driver's license or passport. There are two gates located along El Segundo Blvd to gain access (and by the way, the guards may want to search the trunk of your car).

Tell the Guards that you're visiting to play Ultimate Frisbee on the exercise field. Access to the facility is completely at the guard's discretion. So, I just ask that you be courteous - even if the guards turn you away.

We will always send a confirmation email a day or two before the game. Generally the game will always be on, barring bad rain. If the park lights are off we usually play anyway, next to the lighted tennis courts.

We're all the way "in the back" of North Hollywood Park, north of magnolia, behind the baseball fields. Look for us! Usually plenty of parking on Chandler and Tujunga; I park on the Magnolia Blvd. strip south of the field.

This is a VERY friendly game, with all skill levels invited. Some players are stronger than others, but everyone is supportive and fun to play with.
