We will be starting up when the fields are dry enough to play, and when the college kids get back into town... so mid-late May likely, through the summer until college starts in late August.

Description: April - October. Since the late 1980's, games have started up after the clocks spring forward mid-April, but we don't usually reach critical mass (7 on 7 players, with ample subs) until mid-May.

• Three key things to bring :

1) Bring plenty of WATER. There are no drinking fountains (or bathrooms) in the immediate area of the park where we play.
2 & 3) Bring a DARK and a LIGHT shirt. This is pick-up, thus team rosters are decided by what color shirt you're wearing.

IMPORTANT: Don't wear Gray or B&W referee stripes! Gray starts out light and turns dark when you sweat, confusing other players. And with zebra stripes, no one's sure which team (dark vs. light) you're on. Try to wear a really, really dark shirt . . . or a really, really light shirt. Keep extras in your trunk.

• Helpful to have : Cleats, frisbee, cones, and spirit of the game attitude.

Description: Pickup Ultimate with some ground rules to make novices feel welcome.

Park Hill Soccer Field (8152 N Congress Ave, Parkville, MO)

We typically try to equalize the teams and will shuffle the players on the fly if the score becomes lopsided.

Ability Range: Players generally range widely, from, say 14 year old novices (who can at least throw and catch) all the up to college students who play regularly in campus intramural leagues. Age ranges up into the fifties.

Schedule: We consistently play weekly year-round. We could conceivable cancel if there are too many conflicts on, say a Holiday but not for inclimate weather!

HAC is a friendly, low-key game open to beginners thru pros, and we play all year: summer, fall, winter, and spring. Unless there is a glacier on the field, we're playing. We have a considerate game, so we don't run into each other, and let everyone join the play. The most revered play is the HAC, where everyone on a team touches the disk in a scoring play. We don't count stalls, don't keep score, and don't limit the end zone. In spite of this, the game is fun, and a rotating cast of players have been playing since 1990. Yep.

We play at Burns Park in Ann Arbor on Sunday at 10:30 am, but sometimes start a little late.

Description: One of the most beginner-friendly games in Austin, the Lake Creek pickup game is co-ed, every Sunday with decent weather, and runs about 10 to 12:15p. Sometimes we run on ultimate time (10:30a).

We welcome high skill level players - we have a bunch - but remember that this is a goofball game. Please dish the disc to the newbies when possible and be nice if they drop it.

It's the football field for Grisham Middle School. It's a high-crown field with decent grass and great drainage. Can be hard in the summer but imho it's the 2nd best ulty field in Austin. If it's between 50 and 110F and dry, we're probably playing.

We also usually run a carpool from north central Austin. Contact us if you'd like to get in on that.

Description: A very fun game. Ages range from 17 to 55 and many in-between. There is sure to be someone for you to match up with. Rules are not really a part of the game a bit more backyard than UPA 11th edition.

Games are competitive as every game score is kept. Games are to 5 and we typically play 4 games.

With daylight and seasons the start time is either 7:30 am or 8:00 am.

We play year round 7 degrees or 97 degrees. A recent game was 10 inches of snow 5 on 6 and 14 degrees. It was fantastic.

Additional: There are holiday games. Christmas Day, New Years Day, and Thanksgiving Day.

Fields: Bellflower Park is a a pubic park. There are three soccer fields and we play in the middle field unless it's in use.
Description: The Mentor Ultimate Frisbee League, MUFL if you're hip, was started in September of 2005. We're always looking for more players to join us on the field. We welcome everyone regardless of athletic ability or age.

We play every weekend, every season. And yes, that does mean we play in the winter too. Our game times are usually Sundays at noon, with rare exceptions, so be sure to contact us first. Our philosophy is fun and exercise rather than competition. Frisbee skills and athletic ability are great - but not required. Sense of humor is a MUST.

We also have optional seasonal group socials including: roller skating, laser tag, whirlyball, board game nights, etc. If you're curious - join us for a game or sign up for our email newsletter! We welcome everyone and chances are good you'll have a great time.

The fields are nice and flat, good condition generally but the grass take a beating in the fall with soccer and football practices.

Tell the Guards that you're visiting to play Ultimate Frisbee on the exercise field. Access to the facility is completely at the guard's discretion. So, I just ask that you be courteous - even if the guards turn you away.

Join us for a low-key ultimate game after the workday on Monday evenings! Practice starts 5:30pm, we start a game as soon as we have at least 3 to a side. We play until dark. Invite friends - we could use a few more regulars!

This is a super-chill game, if you want to be mega-competitive or work your ego game, go elsewhere. All skill levels welcome, we'll aim to play most official rules/techniques (i.e. fouls, stalls, stack, etc.) but it's always about enjoying the game, not sweating the small stuff. We don't keep score until it's time to wrap up, and aim to make vaguely even teams through subbing or swapping.

Bring a white and a dark shirt, cleats are recommended. There are a drinking fountain and bathrooms at the park.

If the field is already in use, drive a few blocks south to the corner of N Kerby Ave and N Alberta Ave. There's a field on the south side of Jefferson High School that is used as a backup field. Game goes year round, but tends to taper off a bit during the winter. People arrive around 11, game usually starts around 11:15 or 11:30 and goes until 1-2pm.

Bring beer (or beverage of your choice….and during the rest of the rules when I say beer you can substitute “beverage” if you don’t plan on drinking beer).
All ultimate rules apply…except you must have an open “beer in hand” while playing.
Playing with an empty beer is a turnover.
Dropping your beer when catching is a turnover.
No glass containers on the playing field.
Spilling your beer is not a turnover….but is considered a spirit violation and beer that is forever lost.
Rules amendment 47S: Any container you carry must permit spillage.

We're all the way "in the back" of North Hollywood Park, north of magnolia, behind the baseball fields. Look for us! Usually plenty of parking on Chandler and Tujunga; I park on the Magnolia Blvd. strip south of the field.

This is a VERY friendly game, with all skill levels invited. Some players are stronger than others, but everyone is supportive and fun to play with.

-new players are encouraged to ask questions, for explanations, or help practicing a specific skill.

The end goal is to help players develop or improve skills useful both for pickup and league play. As such, we play with most of the UPA rules in our current game when it is appropriate.

As the group grows, we plan to branch out and hold a friendly chill learning game, a fully competitive game, some drill sessions, etc.

A laid back informal ultimate game at Blueberry Hill Park - 1 walkable mile from the Shady Grove metro, Sunday mornings at 9.

Gameplay for this pickup doesn't require knowledge of force defense, cup defenses, stacks, etc. We aim for more chaotic and easy going gameplay. Even keeping a stall count isn't necessary.

If you don't know how to play, we'll teach you.

We welcome players of all ability levels who make it a point to get everyone involved in the game.

UFO practices take place every Sunday afternoon, amidst the greenery of Yodogawa and its parklands. We meet on the southern side of the river at 2:00pm, which is an easy walk from Hankyu's Nakatsu Station (that's one local after Osaka). From the station, walk up some stairs and then walk straight (west) to the river and you should see some baseball fields next to the bridge on the left. We are past those baseball fields. It's only about a 500m walk. You will find us by noticing a lot of plastic flying in the air...

Description: The RocketSauce Pick-up game is a casual group of players. All skill levels are welcome. Children and Dog friendly. Typically the group consists of beginner and intermediate players. However, we often get visitors from local Open/Club teams that raise the skill/competition level.

Games are played on two teams ranging from 5-9 players each. No time limits - Play until a team reaches 10. Must win by 2 points.

There are a few modified rules in effect. If it is your first time, please inquire about them. Other than our exceptions, UPA rules are adhered to. Spirit of the game is rule #1.

Usually Steak n Shake trip afterward in Valrico.

Game times change frequently. Games are played rain or shine 90% of the time. Always come out regardless of the weather, just in case.

All skill levels are welcome. We run 2 fields, the 2nd field generally is more competitive but anyone is welcome on either field. Bring a white and a dark shirt, grey is neither white nor dark.

In an effort to get everyone involved and keep the level of play high, you are requested to sub out if you're on the winning team for 3 points in a row (or 2 ridiculously long points). Nobody waiting? then keep playing. Losers, as always, run for the line. This is a "local" Mon Night Ult rule.

Description: London Revolution is a North London Club ranked 23rd in the UK. During the off-season (Sept to January) we host an open pickup on the playing fields next to Gloucester Gate in Regent's Park (closest entrance from Camden Town tube station).

Please bring a black shirt and a white shirt and proper shoes for running on grass. Games start at about 1130am after some warmups that start at 11am and we break up at about 3pm. The vibe is friendly and developmental and the mix of playing skills that ranges from very experienced to brand new.

Description: The ChipHuckers is a co-ed, social, recreational pickup game of Ultimate Frisbee on the Laurel Farm fields off of Route 27 in Sherborn (near the Natick line). We wholeheartedly welcome new players to join us. Skill level ranges from complete newbie's to club-level, with all levels in between. All skill levels are welcome!

Our Tuesday and Thursday afternoon games have just the right level of competitiveness - we encourage and praise going hard, but never complain if you don't "make a play." No sniping allowed! It's a very friendly game. We actually like each other. We typically keep score only towards the end of the afternoon - and then only to set a deadline to get us to the liquid refreshment that always awaits us on the sidelines! The game has been going for 10 years now. Players range in age from 14 to late-40s. We hope to see some new faces there!
