I'm not sure who you talked to when you showed up. My guess (and my hope) is that you ended up talking to a group of AUDL Windchill players or a club team practicing. We never have any experience requirements for people who show up and want to play. I'm sorry that your experience was soured by interacting with someone who was very likely not part of our normal pick-up group.

Hi Jd,
Was thinking of checking out this game this weekend. Did they end up letting you play?

I was in Minneapolis for the weekend and wanted to go to a local pickup game. I usually play twice a week. This one happened to be closest to my hotel. I showed up April 2, 2016 for a game and was told I couldn't play unless I had played league and was a veteran with 10 years experience. I saw they warming up while walking up and most couldn't even throw into the wind. When the description says "Our group represents a range of ultimate ability. Join us!" what they really mean is: "Our group is pretentious and cliquey. Go elsewhere to play pickup!" I've played at local pickup games in cities all over the world and never encountered such an unfriendly game posted on this website. I thought Minnesota was supposed to be friendly.
