Chapel Hill Evening Pickup
Contact: Bill Bourret
Fields: Outdoor Turf
Description: Fun pickup ultimate under the lights! We play 2 evenings a week at UNC Hooker turf fields. Our games are free and open to the public. We are one of the more competitive groups in the Triangle, but welcome any experience or athleticism level, so long as you can run and catch a disc.
IMPORTANT: This schedule is not always accurate. We are thankful to have lighted fields for free but have to work around existing reservations. We post the schedule for the upcoming week every Sunday in our Facebook group. Games are typically on Mondays/Wednesdays around 8:30 or 9 PM.

Note: We use facebook likes as an informal rsvp. We generally have more attendees than likes, but it's good to have as a minimum. The posted times are the suggested arrival times. We aim to begin playing within 15-20 minutes.

WHAT TO BRING: Cleats or sneakers, a white shirt and a dark shirt, and water. There are restrooms and water onsite.
WHERE TO PARK: School of Government deck directly east of the fields (accessible via South Rd). There is a $1 per car per night fee for all of UNC campus. This is payable at https://parkmobile.io/ or in the ParkMobile app (choose zone 4500). You can also bring a dollar and ask someone to pay for you.
If the School of Gov deck is closed (very rare), Cobb Deck to the north or School of Law to the south are good backups. Raleigh Road visitor lot to the east is sometimes good too. Check the facebook group for info.
GAMEPLAY: We play by USAU rules and call fouls, stalls and picks etc. We let the ticky tack travels slide, and dropped pulls don't result in a turnover, just some light heckling. After warming up we call a game and keep count. If your team scores, you get priority to play the next point, no matter where you are on the field when the point is scored. If your team gets scored on, it's first 7 on the line who get to play.
Come out and say hi!
