We believe in supporting motivated women who want to improve, and eventually become great cutters, defenders, and triple threat handlers
We want to try something different:
- Trust our women to work the offense, get open, and get resets.
- Prepare ourselves to have self-confidence and handle responsibility.
- Work on strong fundamentals, handler cutting, game situation drills, and small group scrimmages.
We believe in a better way for women to learn ultimate, especially if they didn’t play a lot in high school/college.
Pickup and mixed leagues aren’t always a good learning environments - sometimes guys will take over cutting lanes, or a more experienced handler will dominate the disc or crowd less experienced players for dumps. It’s pretty hard to get better without a team that trusts players to get open and make good throws.
And maybe that’s a self-perpetuating cycle.
Pick 1 or 2 skills/concepts
Lots of throwing, for that skill
Game situation drills (high reps, no long lines, no artificial drills)
3v3 scrimmages, focus on that skill and situation
