This pick-up game has been played continuously in Sundays at 10ish for over 20 years. It is a mix of competitive, pre and post competitive players. We play in cleats, with stall count, endzones, etc. We are not sticklers though. We offer grace to newcomers who may be unversed in all the nuances. You can even drop the pull if it’s your first Sunday. We are a mix of languages, ages, fitness, etc. We play a game of lights & darks to 15, and a second game to 5. Bring water & black & whie shirts. We play in all weather, all year round.
Sunday afternoons at 3pm we play in the field next to the round Van Gogh Museum building at Museumplein in the center of town.
We try to play rain or shine, especially in the summer season. The only thing that normally stops us is extreme high wind. Weather forecasts in the Netherlands are notoriously unreliable, so we won't call the game off until that afternoon. Most years the game is never called off in the summer season. WEDNESDAY 18:30: Erasmuspark (ONLY FROM APRIL TO OCTOBER)
From April to October we meet Wednesdays at 6:30pm in Erasmuspark, in the open field in the center of the park.
Normally we BBQ after the Wednesday game, so feel free to bring some food or drinks. There are also several supermarkets within a few minutes of the field, so you can play it by ear if you prefer.
We have jerseys so you don't need to worry about shirt colors. Drinking water is available in both locations.
The game is casual, and people of all skill levels are very welcome. We have everyone from beginners to veterans. Cleats are a good idea, but not necessary.
