This is an informal group that has been meeting up to play for nearly a decade at this point. We are beginner friendly.
Skill levels range from folks who've never played before, up to club/pro players (the better players typically don't try hard enough to ruin the experience for everyone else). Most are typical "league-level" players - they know what a force is, can throw forehand and backhand consistently, and are able to play person or zone defense if needed, but still default to running around without a ton of structure for most of the game, and miss longer throws often.
We normally get between 10 and 35 people showing up each week, with an average of 20-25. During the club / summer league season attendance can be a little weak as people play elsewhere to get their fix. We will normally play small sided games if we get at least 6 players, normal 7v7 if we have at least 14, and at right around 20 we'll split into 3 teams and play "king of the hill" where each point the teams that get scored on sits the next point. If we have 25-30 or more, we'll split into 2 games as space allows.
We welcome any and all who wish to join us! We do our best to play rain or shine, so please do not get scared away by the weather and feel free to send an email or text if you want to confirm.
This year's games will start on Monday, April 6, and continue until we Fall Back in November when we finally run out of evening light.
A group of us normally get food / drinks after as well, so feel free to ask around / join for that too.
